Dundee Development Grant

The grant is delivered through Business Gateway, Dundee and has been designed to encourage those who want to start their own business to take the next step and formalise their business ideas.

Overseas Market Development Grant

Dundee City Council’s Economic Development Department operates a scheme of financial assistance in the form of a grant aimed at assisting and encouraging Dundee companies to access new overseas markets.

Regional Selective Assistance

As an assisted area Dundee benefits from financial incentives aimed at encouraging investment and job creation of all sizes in designated areas of Scotland. Regional selective assistance on capital expenditure in Dundee can provide up to 15% assistance on capital expenditure. Small and medium businesses may also be eligible for an additional top up for the grant (10% small 20% medium)

Scottish Co Investment Fund

The Scottish Co-investment Fund (SCF) is designed to address a finance gap alongside our accredited co-investment partners. Investment can be made in companies from start up, growth to expansion into new products and/or markets.

Through this fund, we can match accredited investment partners up to a maximum of 50% of the total funding package on a commercial basis. We can provide from £10,000 up to £1.5 million, as part of a total deal size ranging from £20,000 up to £10 million.

Scottish Venture Fund

The Scottish Venture Fund invests in companies from start ups, early-stage to expanding businesses seeking funding to develop products and/or markets. We can provide from £10,000 up to £2 million, as part of a total deal size ranging from £20,000 to £10 million.

The aim of the Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust is to provide core finance and professional support to 18-25 year olds in Scotland so that they can set up and run their own businesses

Home Loans Scheme

In an effort to boost the local economy and address the current credit crunch, Dundee City Council is introducing a mortgage scheme for first time buyers of Council owned housing stock

East Of Scotland Investment Fund

Fund will offer some businesses access loans of up to £50,000.

Start Up Loan Dundee

'Start Up Loans are available to businesses yet to launch or those that have been trading for up to 12 months. This personal loan is normally up to a maximum of £10,000 for up to 5 years at a competitive rate of interest. 
The scheme, run with our partners at Business Gateway, provides free business planning prior to taking any monies ensuring applicants are in the best possible position to receive funding. 

Ezone

The grant, up to a maximum of £1250 (discretionary award), forms part of a business start-up support package to assist individuals facing financial and social challenges that prevent them from starting a business. Applicants must both reside in and locate their business in Dundee.
