Dundee is a thriving regional centre in the east of Scotland, a city with a diverse
economy and a wealth of new investment. Growing industries include biotechnology, high-
tech manufacturing, retail and customer services, combined with an impressive level of
investment in infrastructure and public facilities.

A rolling programme of investment in the city continues with the University of Dundee in
the midst of a £200 million campus redevelopment; Dundee City Council investing £270
million in the redevelopment of the cities waterfront; US pharmaceutical giant, Wyeth,
investing £50 million; and a £50 million pound extension to Lend Lease's Overgate
Shopping Centre creating 40 new retail units.
